Ok I got to copy paste here the whole description, I think I detached my left kidney from laughing... Is he ucking with ebayers?
______________________________________________________________________________________________________

You are bidding on SIX plastic rivets as naturally discovered in TWO rare 1985 IBM Model M keyboards.

Left: two rivets salvaged from 3161 terminal keyboard part number 1386303, label date 29 JUL 1985, Plant J1.
Right: four rivets salvaged from industrial computer keyboard part number 1388076, label date 13 DEC 1985, Greenock.

If you are reading this, you will know the significance of plastic rivets to the famous Model M keyboards.

They are an iconic, defining feature, notable for their role in helping to bring buckling spring keyboards to the wider masses through cost reduction.
As a testament to their design, they are retained in membrane buckling spring keyboards manufactured today.
A discerning enthusiast of vintage examples of Model M keyboards will instinctively know to inspect the rivets, as their presence can make a profound difference to functionality and key feel.

Here is your opportunity to own some very early examples of the rivets, without the inconvenience of having to pay the high postage and storage fees associated with heavy bulky keyboards.

These rivets would be a great memento for a former Model M user who has moved to Model F keyboards, or encased in clear resin they could make ideal charm trinkets.

All the rivets offered were found naturally detached when their keyboards were recently opened for internal inspection. ( I PROMISE IT WAS NATURAL, NO RAPE INVOLVED)

I guarantee that the rivets were detached through normal wear and tear of the keyboards and not by any artificial means, so offer a fair representation of loose rivets as found in 1985 Model M keyboards.

I guarantee that the rivets were detached through normal wear and tear of the keyboards and not by any artificial means, so offer a fair representation of loose rivets as found in 1985 Model M keyboards.

The rivets are comfortably wrapped, double bagged and will be sent promptly in a secure bubble mailer.

I can offer double boxing as an option to the successful bidder if required, but please be aware that this may increase the postage cost.

Payment by cheque is possible for bidders within the UK.

Just sent the seller an anti troll message:

_________________________________________________

Dear d.w._de_junon,

Just saw your item and I have been pleasantly surprised, I'm an avid IBM Model M collector, have at least 10 NIB different Model M's and 5-6 used ones that are bolt moded. Due to the nature of the bolt modding rivets have to be removed via chiseling and I can not say that is a natural way of rivets detaching from the metal plate.

Looking at your item brings a joy and happiness knowing that the rivets had natural, safe and graceful detaching from the plate.

Would you be interested in closing the item earlier if I would offer $75 for the 6 rivets, and hoping you can treat me with free shipping even though I live in USA, thanks and have a blessed day :)

That's F'n GOLD!

Obviously in response to the GHer trying to sell a Spanish keyed '85 for $600 and referred to the only other 4 that were left as being owned by GH members.

Strangely, I can't find that listing now. Hmm...

Found it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RAREST-IBM-Model-M-clicky-Keyboard-ever-only-6-known-MANDOLIN-CRYSTAL-/181165857753?pt=US_Vintage_Computing_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a2e539bd9

A:     Hi, thanks for your interest. It's great to hear of your successes with the bolt modding, a procedure requiring great care and attention, truly a labour of love and a tribute to your enthusiasm. Well, unless you were doing it for commercial reasons. I regret that I cannot offer an early closing and sale on this auction to anyone, regardless of how much is offered. Ending auctions early for a sale deprives other eBay users of their opportunity to place bids and as such can be seen as exceptionally unfair. I won't comment myself other than to say it can be really annoying. If you would like to place a bid at any time during the auction duration, you are most welcome. I hope this response was helpful, if you have any further concerns or queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
