"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Moose has been very kind to many of us, me included, and I would be glad to help him!

... ok darn it, whatever my budget is, I can spare 10$ for moose!

Bunny, I'll send you a few bucks later. For you and my boy. Moose, it's Wednesday, you best be wearing some pink man!

Moose likes quadruples and triples. I'm pretty sure they're some kinda Belgian beer. Everyone chip in a few bucks so that he can buy some tasty beer!!

When moose was born there were fireworks going off, the wind blew to the tune of the national anthem, and there were eagles everywhere, and they were crying. Eyewitness reports say George Washington himself came into the room, draped moose in the flag and saluted moose as the eagles carried Washington back into the sky.

I am not American and so I can't share your patriotism, yet I am pretty sure that George Washington was riding the "GREAT FLYING MOOSE" at that moment!

He's not, the eaglemoose was carrying George Washington back into to the halls of valhalla (he was a general as well as a president you know).

Also, bunny has got to be the most generous person in this place.

So I appreciate all the effort of everyone who donated to this cause. It was a messed up time for me, what with the PayPal account being frozen and all.

Unfortunately, it never panned out. I discussed everything with Bunny, and at the time, he let me know he contacted most of the donors, so by now I assume he's contacted all of them. If he hasn't contacted you, and you did donate, make sure to contact him to get your donation back.

He told me he was offering three choices to each person: money refund, donate to geekhack, or special surprise for me.

I would prefer you to choose one of the first two options. I don't need any special surprise.

And once again, thanks for the kindness. It was, and is, much appreciated.
