I've tried looking on PCHome like so many people have on here, but I can only find the ones with the black switches. Could someone point me in the right direction to buy one these keyboards? There's a seller on Ebay that has it, but he's selling it for almost $20 more than what I could have gotten from PChome.

Are these now discontinued?

But it seems that the seller will not ship internationally.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

EDIT: Also, if someone were interested in selling theirs (must be the green alps switches) to me at a reasonable price (I'm in the US) please do not hesitate to make me an offer.

They've been discontinued for a long time. It is a really badly made keyboard.

You can still find a few on ebay if you really want one OP. They will run you $50 + shipping. IMO, the board isn't worth more than $40 total. It feel very very cheap.

and as they are ALPS clones, they're really not anything special. It would be more worthwhile to find a donor ALPS PCB and add your own, new Mathias ALPS.

I do not particularly prefer Alps switches in general. I was just looking for a good, nice cheap mechanical keyboard. I was also looking at the CM Storm QuickFire and the Monoprice Mechanical Keyboard.

what was he ducky XM problem? something that can be hacked? bad solder joints perhaps? what was the problems reported? I know of 1, no keycaps for it and that's why I never bought 1.

Yeeesh. Seems as though I should avoid the 1087XM? Maybe I should go for the Monoprice with MX Blues. Thanks for all the replies guys!

I've been seeing that the Monoprice board with blues is a bit shoddy as well--though not as bad as the Ducky. If you can get a cheap used QFR--you'd do much better. Same with a Rosewill mechanical, if you need a full-sized keyboard.

Then get a Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid with your favorite Cherry key switches. Excellent build quality for a very good price.

I can't seem to find any used QFR's on here. But I will try to hold out and wait to find one. QFR is my first choice. A used Razer Blackwidow Tournament edition might be my second choice.

Does anyone have any experience with the blackwidow tournament edition?

Razer boards are very unpopular here, as they are overpriced for fairly low quailty. Plus the emphasis on the flashy LED "gamer" style with oversized bezels.

Ah. Ok then. I'm just waiting for this QFR to get near ending time so I can place a bid on it. Because after reading some reviews, the QFR is definitely my first choice in a keyboard.

Okay. I don't know what your budget is. They are $80 at the CM store if you are in the U.S. and anywhere from $50 and up on eBay. Good luck with the hunt.

Where are you? There are various boards that are decent that won't cost a fortune. Like Keycool, PLU, etc.

I have both 1087XM models, green and blacks. They's definitely not mega rock-solid; they have key wobble and the case feels flimsy. However, if you're not gonna be smashing the poor thing to bits by playing games or be moving the keyboard back and forth, packing it in a bag, disconnecting/connecting, etc...I think there shouldn't be any problems with them.

For normal typing/coding tasks, they work damn well, and there shouldn't be any durability issues. I especially have become fond of the linear black XMs. They feel pretty darn good and are not as noisy as the green ones, or buckling springs...Perfect for the office.

I lucked out and got a QFR on Ebay for $60 shipped! I really can't wait till it gets here. Maybe I'll make another thread about it or I'll just post it here.
