hello all!
I'm brand new to mechanical keyboards and what I know so far comes from a lot of Google and some lurking around as many forums as I could find (this one included). I've wanted a mechanical keyboard for ages but other pursuits keep draining my wallet. Now though I'm finally typing on my very own Filco with MX Browns. Its a 105 key (UK) board and I also bought a set of blank black keycaps to go on it, which works out cheaper than buying them pre-installed and I get the keycaps with legends in case I chicken out.
So mission accomplished? Not quite. I'm already realizing that the rubber domes on the Dell in my office aren't going to be bearable much longer, and then the keyboard on my laptop... I hate that and its been 2 days of loud clacking.
So yes, I think you could say I've caught the bug. But I still have a lot to learn and look forward to having my head filled with Topre and Dvorak and the like by yourselves.
