Someone say hall effect?

Okay, those "new style" hall effect switches will fit even vintage hall effect keycaps. I have about 130 right now withthe keyboards I bought, and I'm getting another 150 or so in the mail. From what I see, right now the only way to get them is from actual hall effect keyboards

but

after looking at them, I suggest that it would be easier to make DIY 3d printed hall effect switches than cherry or alps. i am mailing a few keycaps to another Gh'er who wants to give it a shot. We'll see if it works.

Sadly, MECI is out of these switches before I could get some. I will gladly purchase all the switches that anyone doesn't use in their design.

Wow weird timing, I literally just finished watching Ben Heck DIY some hall switches out of Cherry Blacks.

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Is there anyone who uses a hall effect board who can confirm that the older keycaps are compatible with the ones sold by MECI?
