Let's sincerely hope it was not the Radnelac that put CC in hospital in the first place
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

It's a possibility, but if it was he must have covered them already otherwise he'd have forced himself to do more as soon as he was home.  Therefore all is good and he's just enjoying on an extended rest period.  There is a "bad" interpretation of the timeline, but I don't want to think about it...

Get well soon Clack! :)

Given that we're all here to do a therapy session for missing out on buying his stuff, I'd agree with you entirely.

I know I'd pay up front, let him recover, give him time to make the caps, and then time to mail them, all while waiting patiently, updates on shipping or not.

Oh wait... that's sort of what Clackvent is....

Not sure how I'd feel about spending $150 on anything blind, but it would be rude not to try if the chance presents itself.

More importantly though Clack has not been online since he said he was home and hinted at a restart - it's possible he's relapsed and we should be worrying again.  Really hope I'm wrong!

The only thing I've seen him mention directly was back problems but that was like a year ago, not sure what's troubling him now. It's the 21st here in Aus already, I wonder if this is just going to end with a whimper or if CC will finish it with a bang :P

I do but it's from the 4/20 sale last year, he could have moved in that time.

Yeah I dont like giving out people's details without their consent, too sketchy on the internet these days.

Well I wouldn't go publishing them publicly but telling an established member who lives nearby is ok in my book, as would be searching him out if I were the person living nearby.  I'm not sure what the laws around stalking are but I would hope a single occurrence of hunting someone down while armed with nothing but gifts and good wishes does not count.  Though it is America and you guys like to sue for pretty much anything so maybe I'm wrong?

EK Keyboards works with him, maybe we could reach out to them. If they agree we could collect the money and have them send the get well gift. That way there is a buffer against us internet weirdos.

Never heard of them but sounds a great option :)
