my family actually had the pc that i drew for the avatar when i was growing up.  taught myself programming on it, and played silly old games like zork (ok zork not silly) and snooper troops on it.  it had only 2 palettes and could display only 4 colors at a time, one of which was black, and one palette was terribad with green and a fugly orange color.

this might be it.  i can't really find any images since no one ever really used that ugly palette.  so so ugly.

everyone used the other one which was basically like hyperfuse (white magenta cyan).

Oof, that's a glaring orange - I can see how you wouldn't like it.

At least we have Geekhack orange, which is a pretty nice tone, if I may say so myself.
