importing realforce 103's
« on: Mon, 06 October 2008, 00:55:35 »
For the life of me I can't find anywhere online to easily order the realforce 86 or 103. I talked to my cousin in taiwan and he says he can pick up the realforce 103 at local stores. If I got a large shipment of these keyboards would anybody here be interested?

Are you talking about the white or black 103?

Eww. I like hte white ones but I think they are only available in Taiwan. In any case, I would prefer to have a Realforce 101 for work, and I think early next year I'll be ordering one of those.

My cousin can buy these keyboards at local stores in taiwan and have them shipped to me. If there is enough demand I will purchase a bunch and have them shipped all at once. These are the keyboards I'm talking about http://www.iqmore.idv.tw/archives/97 except in USB. I know I can get the black models. I will check with my cousin tomorrow to see if he can also get the white one.

I would love to try a Topre/HHKB.  I like my ergo layouts, though, so, if I bought one, I don't think I would get much use out of it.  I am getting another Evolution for Xmas; however.  I might just stockpile Evolutions since mechanical ergo boards (not including the Matron/Kinesis monstrosties) are hard to come by.  That, and the Alps switches are NICE! :)

I just used paypal. I also broke down and ordered one form j-goods.net which ended up cosing 263.25 and that's before they bill me to ship it. I'm thinking about just disputing the charge and buying another through gmarket which offers both colors. I paid, $227 shipped.

Have you actually received these goods from G-Market yet?  Any comments on the level of service?

I got notification that the keyboard has shipped. We'll see if it actually arrives. Another cool thing about that side is that you can bargain a lower price.

What's really odd is if you search for "chips8812" you'll find the Realforce 103.

The word "realforce" is nowhere in the description of the realforce 103, but there's the word Topre in there.  click here for my search results for "topre 103"
