Looking at that trailer again, I noticed a few differences such as the Ship Of The Imagination no longer looking like a dandelion seed.
One thing that would put me off is if they play up the interpretation of quantum mechanics that implies infinite parallel universes continuously keep popping into existence. This is where many science shows diverge into fanciful tales of magic, IMHO, and we are left staring at 10+ minutes of writhing CGI upchuck while the narrator lays the groundwork for perpetual motion machines and contradicts himself about every 5th sentence.
OTOH, with some discipline, they could make a series that surpasses the original in getting across the gist of Sagan's message.
