Newbie here looking to expand my typing horizons. I've used membrane junk for over 20 years of computing, with the exception of the occasional Model M attached to a terminal at school. My typing is terrible now (50-60wpm avg) from being super lazy, but I plan to work on that with my new keyboard. I just ordered my first mechanical which is a CM QuickFire Rapid with blue MX (because it was cheap and I like the clicky keys). I primarily bought this one to use on my work laptop. I don't need TK, and I'm space cramped where my laptop sits (I telecommute).
I'm a long time gamer, but my interest has sort of waned over the past couple years. I still like to keep up with hardware as well as my budget allows, but that hasn't been too easy lately. My current keyboard is a Logitech G15 that is soon to be replaced with a new mechanical. I have my eye on a few new boards: Ducky DK9008 (Shine 3), Ducky DK2018S (Zero Shine), or the Corsair Vengeance K70 w/ blue MX switches (soon to be released).
I enjoy perusing classifieds and I hang out on Arstechnica as well as [H]ardForum occasionally.
