[SOLD] Clicky QFRs (blue and green)
« on: Sun, 28 July 2013, 12:54:34 »
Help me alleviate the clicking! I used to really like them, now clicky sounds just annoy me.

[BOTH SOLD]

QFR mx green - $80 + shipping OBO
- no key caps
- no stabilizer inserts (but you can get them at wasdkeyboards for $1.75)
- no original packaging
- some wear on the top right corner (not noticeable when the board sits in front of you in normal use)

QFR mx blue - $50 + shipping OBO
- no keycaps
- stabilizer inserts included
- original box included

I'd be tempted to go for this, as MX greens are few and far between in Australia, but I suspect the shipping will nearly double the cost.

Right?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Cheapest method would be First-Class mail, with no insurance, no tracking. $26.73
The package weighs 2lbs 10oz. You can see all the options here: http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.aspx?country=10013&m=6&p=2&o=10&MailingDate=7/30/2013&MailingTime=8:00%20AM&dv=100

Hmmm, not as bad as I thought.  Gonna have to seriously consider this (and run it past my other half hehe).

Do all the switches click evenly and consistently?

hmm...I'm pretty sure they did. I'll take it out of the packaging and check tomorrow. Also, if you prefer a gray case, I can swap it with the blue QFR. I'm thinking I'm just gonna give it to a coworker who I know likes blues, and she doesn't care what color case it has.

I'm posting to show potential interest in both boards. I think this would be great for my Phantom, as

A) I'm planning on using Greens
B) I can get all the switches
C) I get a bonus keyboard

I mean, for $130+shipping, I get everything else I need besides the soldering iron.

Make up your minds quick boys, cause I'm meeting my coworker for brunch tomorrow and have to decide if I bring the blue board or not, with a gray or black case.

EDIT: Also, I switched the blue QFR back to all blue.

If inteli722 wants it - go for it.

I am still negotiating, and am happy to wait for another opportunity.

Enjoy :)

Not the best place to post about that, is it.
