What is this switch? Cherry ML4100
« on: Tue, 30 July 2013, 15:18:18 »
Can someone tell me what kind of switches these are?  I found this keyboard and keypad at work.  Feels decent to type on and there seem to be a slight tactile bump when pressed.  It feels a lot like a good, crisp rubber dome keyboard in that there is a definite point when you can feel the key actuate but it isn't very "clicky" or as mechanical feeling as like an MX brown switch.  I think these are fairly common on medical equipment.

They're Cherry ML switches. More info can be found on the DT Wiki and other thoughts and discussions can be found here and here.

I liked that board. I owned one; it's a G84-4100. Same as the eBay listing I linked.

Edit: I got sniped. Sniper no sniping.

Oh, cool.  I didn't realize they had the switches listed right on their site, lol.  I even went there when I typed in the model number.  Though I was so excited to post a picture I didn't look too hard ;)

Thanks!

Ok, quick, slightly off topic question.  Is this the PS/2 to USB adapter people have the most luck with?
