Hello everyone!
« on: Sun, 04 August 2013, 06:52:05 »
Hello GeekHack, I am Defect, and I am a long time lurker on the forums.
I live in the Netherlands (Holland) and I'm 24 years old.

My interest to mechanical keyboards goes a while back, when I first found them in a store.
I did not like the feeling on the first one I tried (I think it was the Vengeance K90), because it had 2 different mx cherry keys'. I think it was black & [something].
Nonetheless I liked the mechanical feel to it, and it inst that standard as an dome keyboard. (I always love stuff that not many people have)

So almost a year researching on the Geakhack forums I decided to buy a Keycool 84 from mechanicalkeyboards.com
It was a hard choice between ha Ducky shine 2 TLK (what I cant find online with brown keys ), a filco and Keycoal. (All TLK)

The choice for a TLK keyboard for me is simple. I'm a low sensitive mouse PFS gamer, and I found out I like the distance with my hands as close a possible.
I found out at my brother who bought an "CM Storm quickfire rapid red" and I like that very much, except the very light feeling to the keys.

So now I'm a proud owner of a Keycool 84 and I like it very much.
Well I thing that's that.

If you want to know more, just ask.
Here some pics!

Welcome to Geekhack! I'm looking at buying my first mechanical myself, waiting for the ducky shine III. I'm debating between getting something with reds or with browns. Leaning more towards browns and I appreciate you speaking you out and sharing how you've enjoyed them over the reds in the QF board.

Welcome! I just joined as well!

Yeah, I have to agree, I enjoy having things that most people don't have. I have a poker 2 on the way with red switches, and I also have a QFR with blacks. I enjoy the blacks because they are linear, and when I'm gaming I don't really need to know when I actuate the keys. Heh, but that's besides the point.

Enjoy your stay!
hello.
