space saver with blue cherries?

I did a cursory look but don't see anything out there. Anyone know of a spacesaver with blue cherries? I am thinking model m mini form factor.

Isn't that new modular board from DSI available with blue cherries?

The SMK-88 with blues is an obvious choice but near impossible to find now.

Personally, if you like the Model M mini layout, I'd go with a Filco mini (with brown cherries).  That is one NICE 'board!

I was on a quest for spacesaver with blues for a while. The only ones I found were:

in current production:
-dsi modular mac (perfect, but $150)

From ebay:
-qtronix scorpius kt-305 (Identical to cherry g80-1800. I bought one of these qtronix ones for $35 shipping included on ebay. One reviewer on these forums mentioned they had blues. Mine had whites that were identical to blues (perhaps the precursor to the blues which were white in color?). This is a spacesaver board with a numberpad but much shorter than normal board cuz arrow keys squished under qwerty section). The layout is perfect but I've since decided I like browns and/or blacks instead for switches. I'll probably put it up for sale soon, and I'll sell it 'at cost' if you're interested ;)

-Cherry g80-1800 - somewhat hard to find but should have blues (should verify with seller tho, I think various versions exist). Available out there with or without the win keys, and in beige or black. Relatively hard to find though, and prices vary dramatically (I've seen them on ebay anywhere from $50 to $200).
Again it has the number pad but in a squished spacesaver layout.

-smk88 with blues as imav mentioned - nearly impossible to find.

Is this the smk 88?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Compact-Cherry-Mechanical-Switch-Mac-Keyboard-USB-SMK88_W0QQitemZ380072897741QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

Just verifying.

yes, but you need to verify with the seller directly as far as whether they contain black or blue MX. If its a newer version it will likely have blacks.

more deets at dsi website:
http://www.notestation.com/compactcherryswitchmackeyboardsmk-88.htm

sells for 90.
The smk88 basically got replaced by the new dsi modular mac.

These have only Cherry blacks, IIRC.

on ebay i've seen them sold with blue and black... I think I even saw one with whites...

Looks like there were blues but they don't make them anymore.

The notoriously unreliable datasheet only lists blacks. However, a search for G80-1800LSCDE has zero hits, confirming this.

Part of what I discovered in the last couple of weeks is that virtually everything about cherry mx's is unreliable ;)
I still havent gotten over the shock of white clickeys in my qtronix. There wasnt supposed to be any such thing as white mx clickeys.

The build quality is amazing.  And I really like the feel of the brown cherries.

I say YES, it is worth the money.

Thats cool. I went to Crescent-Shop and got a quote for 144 US. I should have it in a week or so.

I need to add that this price of 144 US does not include shipping, so it most likely will be close to what  benippon has offerred.

: ) no problem. For whatever its worth, Crescent-Shop has ordered the keyboard, last in stock they tell me. Once they receive it, which should be soon, they will make it ready for shipping. At that time I will get the shipping cost. Which I expect to be pretty close to what BeNippon would charge since it looks like they both use the same shipping.
This will bring up the cost to a few bucks shy of what BeNippon quoted me.

So hopefully , I will have it about a week after they ship it.

Got an email from Crescent and the keyboard is ready to ship.
Shipping cost is 42.92 US so the total cost is like 186 US.

If it ships today,I could have it in a week : )

I'm waiting on a 2" tall caractere of Jack Kerouac (by far my favorite writer ever) which I will put on my desk between an original Yoda and a Buddha, both about 2" tall. How's that for some of the dharma?
