Did it just release?Well, it became popular in around March. I picked mine up around April or so. They're pretty much the only affordable OC'able 1440p monitors right now, and the colors out of the box are unparalleled. It's quite the steal atm

Got carried away No problem. Turns out most high res panels require DVI, which my laptop doesn't have, so I think I'm out of luck for now anyways.

I'm sure you can use a DVI to VGA adapter.

Those "DVI to VGA" adapters that are $5 are VGA to DVI-A which is to say 1 analog connector type to a different analog connector type. It doesn't make it a DVI-D signal.
Yeah, I've just come to terms with the fact that unless I get a desktop out here, I'm not going to have a huge monitor anytime soon. Why do they make laptops with VGA instead of DVI in days like these?

I'm pretty sure most laptops can't support 1440p monitors.
