stabilizer adapter too small?

I was taking off my caps for the first time on my Rosewill 9000 and I noticed that the stabilizer adapters (sorry don't know the proper name) just fall right out? Pretty much makes the stabilizers useless since they wont stay inserted in the cap. Do I need different adapter thingys?

I've had that issue before, on my QFR (blacks). It doesn't feel too different from my filco (reds). It's a pain in the ass to put back on, but it's doable. Just put a little piece of paper in between the stabilizer and the keycap to keep it in place.

You need plastic wrap, or tape, or a plastic bag.   This is a common issue w/ SP caps and costar stab inserts.  1 layer of plastic bag, a couple of plastic wrap... whatever works for you.

I have successfully used small (~1cm square) pieces of plastic sandwich bag.

Others have used teflon tape and sticky tape.

I think loose is better as it is easily remedied.  Too tight - I have nearly lost finger nails trying to get some inserts out!

I've used (needle-nose) pliers in the past to pull out particularly stubborn ones. It works way better than fingernails.

I use ripped pieces of tissue paper/toilet paper/napkins/etc.  Easier to remove than other things since you can just break it up in water if it gets stuck which it hasn't yet.

I found that the small squares of plastic sandwich bag are sufficiently slippery that the stem will come out fairly easily if pulled, but hold it in tightly enough that none have fallen out during normal use.

I had this issue with my doubleshots.  I used some cut up plastic shopping bag and it worked fine.

Yeah and you always have toilet paper.... or you have bigger issues at hand than stabilizers not fitting.

Yea, a few wraps of plastic wrap is the bizz, works like a champ. I can use my stabilizers now, whoaaaaaaaa
