« on: Wed, 14 August 2013, 10:11:27 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-51G8572-CLICKY-KEYBOARD-used-5037649-/151101663078

Seller states that board is in working order, but lacks a cable. Shipping around $10 for me.

This is the one with the speaker in the case, just like the 1394540's. I believe they're rare and usually sell for ~$80 plus shipping. Someone will get this for a steal :)

I know nothing about these things, so at first I thought you meant the seller was just selling a keyboard case with a speaker inside to add weight.

Haha, no sir. Some older M's had integrated speakers (while all had the grille for them >.> ) that would beep when the computer told it to. They're pretty hard to come by AFAIK.

A little info from deskthority about this specific model

looks like you get Green Alt keys and a nice numpad

heck of a deal, will go fast imo

51G8572
Effectively the same as the 1394540. The 51G8572 seems to have been produced for longer, and some later examples from 1995 onwards finally switched over to the blue IBM logo used on other Enhanced Keyboards.

1394540
The 1394540 appeared in the early 90s with the first generation of IBM RS/6000 workstations. It was generally similar to the 1391401 with two major differences - one was that the right Ctrl key was marked "Ctrl/Act", the other was the inclusion of an inbuilt speaker. Somewhat unusually, while other Enhanced Keyboards adopted a blue lettered logo in 1992, the 1394540 retained the older style black on white label throughout its production life.

I hope so, I PM'd a few GH'ers I knew were interested in a good model M right after it was posted. Then with the topic here, I would certainly hope someone in the community got it.

Hopefully the'll post about it here.

Another one from the same seller for $25 (with cord):
Part #: 42H1292U
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-42H1292-CLICKY-KEYBOARD-used-/141037790777

Edit: Aaaaaaand it's gone.

Edit2: Another one without cord up:
Part #: 1391401
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-1391401-CLICKY-KEYBOARD-used-8882401-/151101763981

They seem to be going fast.

Edit3: And lo, I am master of understatement, that's now sold as well. Here's the seller's page, probably the better way to find what he's moving at the moment:
