The catch?

It's a Model M rubber dome (according to seller)!

Are rubber domes really worth that much? We must have some rubber dome fans willing to pay so much.

they are worth if you like quiet, and yes its a rubber dome by looking at the part number 71G4644
Strange it is new but the Styrofoam bed is missing.

the rubberdome keyborads share a lot of parts in common with a "normal" M. The case, controller, memberane, barrel frame (chimneys as unicomp calls it) cable and plate are all the same. I think only the keycaps mat and springs/hammers are different. It'd make a good parts unit or cheap conversion to BS if you wanted a project.

It's not bad for a rubberdome, but then again, I think plate mounted rubberdomes aren't bad.
