Meet yet another eccentric keyboard collector!
« on: Mon, 26 August 2013, 17:03:08 »
Hi, I'm wyatt, and I've been here for  a while as a lurker. I just recently joined.
I had heard about 'Model M's' being excellent keyboards before, and while volunteering at a school 'rummage sale', I spotted a white keyboard with a coiled cable. I walked up to it, expecting another 90's dell Rubber Dome board, and was quite pleasantly suprised to find a Model M!
I got it 100% free, because the people in charge of the event (stuff is later sold to others cheap) that I could have it free, because no one wanted stuff that old.
It's a weird model number; 59G7980.
This is the sticker on the back.

It has a detachable cable, was made by lexmark in 1993, and has drainage channels.

My gaming rig:

Yes, that is a Model M, a 1024x768 Gateway LCD, and a Pentium 4 Dell Dimension 4700.

Also, I found a commodore vic-20 there:

And a tandy 1400 LT!

No, that's 30 proof hydrogen peroxide. I DO NOT reccomend using that stuff as lotion.
(In case you don't know, hydrogen peroxide in that concentration is extremely nasty and dangerous stuff.)
It's for retr0bright Gel i used on my NES.

Welcome to GH.  Great vintage collection you got there.  And it looks like everything has been successfully Retr0brite'd.  Where did you get the 30% hydrogen peroxide, I've looked in a lot of stores, including stores that supply hair salons, and I can't find it.

Also what game is that you're playing?  It looks like a game from 1996 that I used to play, but I can't remember the name.
