Hi guys, greetings from Singapore
« on: Fri, 30 August 2013, 12:32:56 »
As per the topic, i am located in Singapore.

was originally using a blackwidow utlimate (blue switch) then recently changed to the corsair k70 with the red switches. for myself i definitely prefer the red switches more. very glad that i am part of this wonderful community. and once again, hello guys  :)

anyway are there any transparent/translucent keycaps that i could purchase, a link to them would be great  :D dont seem to have any luck finding them, but given that i do not have any clue what are the more popular resellers that wouldnt be too much of a surprise. the keycaps would be for my corsair k70, which would be using the cherry mx switches.

thanks guys!

hmm, took a look at the website and i cant find transparent keycaps, or am i missing something, the other designs are great though.

anyway for mechanical keyboards, if i were to purchase keycaps, do i need to make sure that the keycaps are for the cherry mx red switches, or do they work universally?
very new to all these so pardon me for my ignorant question  ;D

Yes, you have to check if they are for mx switches, which all use the same mount. Most key caps you'll find are for those anyway.

Also, here you can find some transparent caps.

Welcome :)

thanks for the link, exactly what i was looking for. custom keycaps is going to be an expensive hobby to upkeep for sure
hmm, thanks for the information, was under the impression that all keycaps are of a universal sizing  :))

for the website that you gave, i saw that for the clear keys we have to choose row 1/2/3. where do the row count start? f1 being row 1, numbers being row 2, qwerty alphabets being row 3?and so on and so forth?  :)

No problem. We have a really good thread here called "Simple questions, simple answers". You can find most of your questions on the first post and ask whatever you want (being it simple) there. :)
