So I got the latex mattress.  It arrived Friday.  INCREDIBLE.  WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING MY ENTIRE LIFE?  OMG, OMG, OMG.

µTron will have to wait.  Next question:  µTron or car maintenance?

The car you drove to the meetup?   No offence, bro.  Maintenance.  lol.

If I baby the Plymouth Breeze for another 9 years, which will make it 25 years old, I can get a "historic car" license plate in Indiana, assuming that option still exists in 9 years.

On second thought, I should move to a state with a 20-year historic car requirement.

hmm.  I'm looking into a latex mattress now.  I might get one too.  But they're $2K+ for a king size.  I guess it's cheaper than tempur-pedic.  And it's cheaper than my #1 choice, which is a sleep number bed, but they're priced at around $5K, for a king.

Yea, these babies are not cheap.  A good mattress in general is not cheap.   I tried out a tempurpedic at the store and my folks have one, but I preferred the bounciness and quicker return to form with the latex.  I felt the Tempurpedic molded to my body a little too much.

In addition, I preferred the all natural materials in the latex mattress.

Isn't a sleepnumber just a glorified air mattress?

also, here i see that latex mattresses aren't good for sex, which rules them out for me.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
