Weller WLC100?

What do you guys think of this for getting into modding?

Seems like you cant really go wrong here for $40 but I dont know much about soldering, though Ive done it a bit before.

I've been looking at this. I'm just kinda getting into it as well. I modded my Poker 2 with a cheap radioshack pencil, but it kinda seemed harder than it needed to be. The tip was too large and I found that you really need a holder for an iron.

I just don't like the chisel tip that comes with that Weller. Is there a small conical tip I can get for cheap with it?

On the side of the box it shows a picture of a bunch of different tips. I wonder if they come with the kit?

The description only lists one. I think that picture is just advertising all the tips they sell.

I have one. It works great if all you'll be doing is modding a few keyboards. You may want to get a smaller tip, though. It really solders/desolders much cleaner with a smaller tip.

Thanks. Where can you get a pointy tip that is 100% compatible?

[edit] for example will this just fit right on it?

You want the ST6 or ST7.  I think if you search the website, you may find it.
