Living in Detroit, Michigan? HELP ME!

Hey guys!

After months of searching I've found a component for a great price that I need for my new PC build! BUT I have a major problem!

You see, the seller has a family business located in Detroit, Michigan, USA, but has refused to sell this over Ebay as he's "no Ebay seller".. Which gives me a problem, since I have no guarantee he'll ship the item to me!

What I need is a person who lives in or near Detroit who can go to his store, look at the item and see if it's specified to his claimed specifications and ship it to me through Ebay. I will of course compensate ($$$!) and you will forever have my gratitude!

So anyone, in or near Detroit, Michigan, USA please PM me! I will compensate IN ADVANCE!

You're willing to compensate a GH member in advance on the promise of buying this as your proxy, but not willing to trust a businessman to ship the product? Or is the concern more in the claim of the product itself?

Great price = great risk. Even a monkey can sell stuff on ebay. IMO giving you such reason is not a very good excuse

Actually the reason I needed a GH member is to see if the product was as the seller described it or not (I have more trust for the members here than sellers tbh).

But never mind, a little more research showed that this guy can't be trusted and he's already on some scam report sites apparently :)

How do you even find someone online who doesn't sell online??

And can't you always ask for pictures?

and this really doesn't belong in great deals. Perhaps off topic?

Lots of eBay sellers have ads that specify "Local pickup only."

And some pretty crap-tastic pictures.
