bought it for Brutal Legend.  Already had FTL :/

these promotions and Steam has made acquiring games so ridiculously easy that I have probably 6-8 months worth of unplayed games backed up already.

I agree.  I have so many games that I have yet to even load up.  I only game about 5-7 hrs a week, so that 6-8 month you say is probably more into years for me.  Fine by me.  I got this bundle this morning, and have bought 3 of the last 5.  Too good to pass up.
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

If you enjoy games that are difficult, take about 1-2 hours on a playthrough, and that will take several playthroughs to complete the game with unlockables and the such (I'm practically describing Binding of Isaac here) then FTL is a must-buy. It's an outstanding game, simple mechanics but room for deep strategy, easy in the first stages, but exceptionally difficult in the last couple. An outstanding game.

I bought it for trine2 and beat the average just incase they add anything. I haven't heard of most of the other games, but will look forward to trying them out.

I think I might have an extra copy of fez now, if anyone wants it, I'll see what I can do.

Its for charity, though. I pretty much always take part in the humble bundles, and most of the time I never even download the games, let alone play them. Isn't a big deal to toss a fiver for charity every few weeks.

I always send 100% to the developers.  I'm not a fan of the Child's Play charity and donate to EFF separately.

Any reason why not a fan of Child's Play?

Personally, I leave the stock 10% or what ever tip for HB, and then split the difference evenly between charities and devs, except for stuff like the THQ or EA bundle (although EA was cool enough to not take a cut for the Origin bundle).

Any reason why not a fan of Child's Play?

I just don't consider it a worthy cause.  There are literally thousands of charities out there and, as you would expect, most of them don't specialize in things that I particularly care about funding.  Child's Play gives video games to kids in the hospital.  Who cares?  Let them bring their GameBoy from home.  I'd rather give my money to the kids who don't even have access to a hospital.

But my main interests are EFF, Public Knowledge, and ACLU.  They get my donation dollars.  When it comes to buying indie games, I'd rather compensate the devs.

Hey there!
Now there’s even more mind-boggling content in Humble Indie Bundle 9! We just added four more games to the bundle: Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, A Virus Named TOM, Bastion, and LIMBO.

bytheway, I highly recommend bastion. It's worth it for that game alone. It's worth it for just the music.

I shall enjoy praying the rest.

While I'm indifferent about their objectives. I do like Child's Play just because it started out as a giant sarcastic insult to one of those "video games eat children" types, that  has acquired traction all its own.

Bought the bundle for myself already, but I got my mom to buy one tonight with the announcement of the additional games. Will be a great indie boost to her game collection.

I love Indie games so much <3 Bastion is definitely worth paying for the average price alone! It's not a particularly long game, but its incredibly fun to play.
