Heya Geeks!
« on: Fri, 13 September 2013, 20:46:42 »
Since my interest for mecha keyboards became bigger and bigger over the last months, i'm finally going to get one soon. and with that growing interest there seems to be no way past this community.

I'm male, almost 30 and from Germany. That should be enough of real life data. ;P

So... cu around ^.^

Hi and thanks! (:

My first order was a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with MX Reds, but then realized that i use the Numeric Pad more often then i thought... x) But i want a compact Keyboard, so it will be a CM Storm Quickfire TK - although it will be with MX Browns this time.
Its kind of hard to decide by using force graphs and animations only... But finally it came down to reds and browns and since i found the resistance of the first two millimeters travel in MX Red a little bit too light, i'm pretty much convinced now that browns are perfect for me.

Still i want to try Blues someday for typing *.* ...I love the noise! xD But i think i wouldn't like them for gaming.

Browns are awesome IMO.  But if we get into a which switch is better debate...

Nice choice :)

Just remember that just because someone said that blues are not good for gaming that is not true. It comes down to personal taste.

Complaining on high level and stuff. xD

Some day i'll have tried all the switches out there! But for now i also think thats a good entry into the mechanical world.

I just wonder if i want to shorten the travel on the MX Brown too... because that was my first thought with the reds: minimize the travel to 2mm...! x) I kind of like that notebook keyboard kind of feeling and even thought about getting Cherry ML switches for a minute - until Dr.Google told me that they aren't as smooth as MX.

But whatever, now i'm just looking forward to my keyboard... *.* And i hope i won't become a Mod addict... which seems to be more and more challanging by the time i browse through this board... xD
