yea I know europe is different. Cars give such a sense of freedom though, I'd miss not having one even if I dont use mine very much at all these days. I guess thats a very American thing to say

Well, see, that's the thing... as I understand, public transit is good enough over there that you don't have to worry about having the freedom, because you know you can get to where you want to go with the public transit system.

The main reason I'd want a car is for personal space, something you sacrifice with public transport. It would be nice for convenience too. I don't think I'd feel any safer driving.

I like mean-ish looking cars. These are the last 2 I had/have. I had a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS, and I traded it in for the Edge. Niether of these are my actual cars, just the same trim and color. Mine were/are much dirtier.
