Hello from the UK!
« on: Thu, 26 September 2013, 14:47:14 »
Hi guys,

I very recently got into mechanical keyboards oddly, with a (don't laugh) Zalman piece of junk for £30 someone got me! This is clearly a badly made keyboard, but it's given me the mechanical bug! I'm going to be buying and modding myself a real tenkeyless real soon, when I work out where the hell you buy good keyboards in the UK for a decent price!! :)

Looking forward to joining in the chat once I know a little bit about what I'm talking about! aha

Josh

Hi!

I just joined, too.  I'm also from the UK, but have been living in the USA for long time.  I believe that there's a company over there called The Keyboard Company http://www.keyboardco.com .

Good luck!

Whoa, from the looks of it, Zalman is selling some sort of self-made or knockoff Cherry switches; they look similar but have a different branding (Kailh rather than Cherry) and different actuation force (50g Kailh vs 40g Cherry). Happen to know anything about these?

I did a double-take when I saw '88 pounds with shipping'. Problems with being a stupid American, I guess.  ;D

Yeah, It's sat in front of me! Obviously I'm not qualified to 'review' it (as it's my first mech!) but I've a CMStorm Quickfire Rapid in the post (£70 next day shipped, 'appy with that!) so couild do a little comparison of the two TKL boards if someone wanted it!
