Please do post the photos on buckling - I consider myself lucky that I didn't notice anything like that with my set. Maybe they're not rejected, but rather mass-produced and hence cheaper and looser QC. Inconsistent stem shapes yes, but none that makes them not be able to pushed all the way in like what you have. I must have lucked out with this set?

Isn't Hyde expecting a set too? We should see what he gets in the mail if he ever posts about it.

Cross-reference to this thread about SP DSA keycap tightness.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yeah I'll update here when I get my set.  It's just now I don't know why this set is taking forever to arrive.  =_____=

It's been about 2 weeks, though I vaguely remember stuff from states takes 2 weeks and half to arrive in Canada so hopefully it will arrive this week.

Cross-reference to this thread about SP DSA keycap tightness.

I suspect it won't be an issue on the PBT blanks.  Since the stems are breaking because of the double shot process.  Basically somehow the base shot is not fully merged with the legend shot, so it's almost act as if the keycap were cut in the middle.

Though since blank keycaps are 1 shot so it shouldn't have any issues.

I'll update you guys once I get the set.

Sweet my set has finally arrived, I've wrote my impression here.

I'll also copy and paste it here to make it easier for you guys lol:

===============================================================================

Mine finally arrived few days ago.  Hmmmmmm I have to say first impression wise, I'm not sold yet since I think my imsto set isstill better.  But I might give it a few more days to decide.

Like everyone else said, the texture is one of the better ones I've felt ever.  Though the stems are very inconsistent, some are looser and some are really tight.  And there are edge warping like people pointed out too.

Typing feel wise it's really weird now.  Not only since it's flat profile so it feels like the 1, 2, 3, 4 and F1, F2, F3, F4 are are really far away now.  I find I also keep striking the edge of the key since it feels like it might have a smaller top surface area.

However in terms of profile height, I think it's a good balance between Cherry height and OEM height.  Since Cherry tend to feel really short in terms of bottom out distance, and OEM being really high.  This set feels like it sits in the middle.

I guess I'll give a bit more time and update you guys on it later.  :P

It has one extra stem next to the middle stem, though I'm not sure if it's for older Cherry keyboards or if it's for Leopold FC200R.

I'll take picture when I get home from work.

I'm really kinda surprised that SP hasn't released a non blank DSA as a regularly stocked, non custom order, thing. I mean not everyone likes blanks.

My guess is that since blanks are easier to make, they're probably doing this to test the water first.  Also their double shot ABS DSA set seems to have issues with stems breaking.

Though ultimately I'd say it's probably because DSA is not a universally liked profile, they look really nice, but feels a bit weird to type on.
