What Keyboard to get - sad day.
« on: Tue, 08 October 2013, 00:54:28 »
Brief intro:

Ordered a Keyboard from Qtan 3 weeks ago >  got lost somewhere in the despatch > got refunded.

I'm looking for a good keyboard that's similar to the Noppoo Choc Mini / Keycool 84, I don't want a full size keyboard but I'd settle for keyboards that look like the Majestouch II (tenkeyless ofc) and what not.

Any suggestions?

Although the one keyboard I have bought from qtan took about 2 weeks to arrive, most packages take 3 to 4 weeks to get to me.

It is fantastic that qtan refunded you so promptly, but are you sure it is not still somewhere in the post?  Or stuck in customs?

All he said was that he inquired about the parcel through whatever method that may be and he then stated that they they cannot find the package and it looks it has been lost in transit, so yeah.

Absolutely great guy though, I'd advise anyone to use him if they're in need of a keyboard, fantastic customer relations. He did inform that if I'm paying for Expedited shipping and it's not there in 3 weeks (I've been waiting a month for it thus far) that there's something wrong as my shipping information didn't even update.

I mean, I want to order from Qtan again, but I don't want the same thing to happen again, lol.

For a TKL board, I'd recommend the QFR, Noppoo Choc Mid, and I guess the Leopold FC700R (since I think it's the sexiest non-custom 'board).

As for smaller form factors, I'd go for a Poker, Race, or Pure.

Many people here have ordered from qtan, this is the first time I have heard of something like this happening.

Unless you have an urgent need for one, or have reason to suspect that another one would similarly go missing, and given qtan's quick response and excellent reputation, I would buy from him again.

As I'm preety new around here I hear a lot of good stuff about qtan and this proves it that he is a really a great guy!
But really unfortunate that your order got lost! :(

Maybe a Ducky Zero will do the trick for you?

I would also suggest a Poker 2 as many have it and are satisfied with it. I also talked to BlueBär who has the Poker 2 and likes it as well. Although I don't own a mechenical keyboard yet, I am starting to dream about having a Poker 2 myself or the GH60 :D if there'll be a v2 somewhere next year.

Hey, maybe a GH60/65/75 is something for you if you are interested in constructing one for yourself or ask someone to make it for you.

Cheers

You know, what screw it. I'm going to wait until the the money from paypal is transferred (2 more days) and then I'm going to order from Qtan again.
I think I'm going to get browns this time though instead of Reds, I've heard great things about Browns.

I'd like to thank everyone for your contributions, I am going to be looking at reviews for all these keyboards and see what Qtan has to offer.

For what it's worth I've ordered from Qtan on 3 occasions and every time the delivery was prompt with no hitches.

Maybe I was just an unlucky/unfortunate one. Ah well, it's not a huge deal, like I said, I've re-ordered from him, different keyboard/different switch.

:).

I have purchased from qtan as well without any issues. Unfortunately he gets things directly from china, and for whatever reason there is a blackhole between the two countries and sometimes things seem to fall in it :P I wouldn't hesitate trying to do a reorder from him.

I mean the way I see it, it's not his fault. He's posted something, the service he used unfortunately misplaced it, no harm, no foul.

Re-ordered, gets shipped tomorrow.

Jobs a good'n, :)
