HHKB Professional 2 Keycaps
« on: Tue, 08 October 2013, 19:11:50 »
Do keycaps exist for the HHKB Pro 2?  I'm really tempted to get one since I've seen so many excellent reviews and I'm growing tired of my Razer BWU.  I'm just wondering if I'll be stuck with the OEM caps, or if I can decorate it with at least some nice colorful, blank PBT caps.

You can buy black and white/gray sets for the HHKB, the RF set will get you everything except the correct profile of the short right shift.

Anything Topre costs quite a lot.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That's the truth.

It's like buying a luxury car, even the parts are expensive :(
