Status of QFR colour in UK?
« on: Wed, 09 October 2013, 20:55:06 »
I really want to buy one of these with brown switches. I've found one from Scan.co.uk (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cooler-master-cm-storm-quickfire-rapid-mechanical-cherry-brown-mx-gaming-keyboard-usb) which apparently comes unbranded, but I can't find out what colour the case is. I've read that the newer ones come in a black case.

Has anyone ordered a QFR from Scan.co.uk lately? What colour was it?

Cheers guys.

QFR with MX blacks used to be in a gray case, everything else was black case.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Ah right, so it's safe to assume that Scan has updated their stock with Cherry MX Browns in the black case?

A quick email to them to confirm would probably be the best idea.

Case colours might vary by region.
