Looks the same basic design as most wire keycap pullers.
It took me a little while to get used to it after using the plastic ring ones supplied with many keyboards.
Now I'm not sure I could use a plastic one again.
Fitting it over some of the larger modifiers can be a bit daunting.
Thus the need for two of them.
To the OP mine matches up fine to other metal wire pullers
I tend to remove the 1x keys around the longer keys, then use my fingers mid-position along the longer keys to gently coax them off. Especially the space bar.
