RealForce 87U White/Gray Keyset
« on: Thu, 17 October 2013, 19:46:40 »
Hi everyone,

Does anybody know where I could get a White/Gray keyset for the RF 87U?

I have a Black on Black RF 87U and I'd like to get put the White/Gray keyset on it to get something like this:

EliteKB does not sell them. Is the only solution buying a White/Gray RF 87U?

Thanks :)

I'm actually planning to do the same. As far as I know, EK only sold all-white sets and not the two at one you seek.

Your best bet is to trade your keyboard for the one in the picture. Then, you would ask around to buy a black case. This is what I did and now I'm just waiting on the stuff to arrive.

Good luck.

Buy me a RF 87U with those keycaps (55g uniform please), I will buy a set of yellow keycaps from EK and replace them, then you can have the original white/gray keycaps.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Oh so there aren't any White/Gray keysets sold? Too bad, then...

Thanks for the answers.
