My friend, I love Geekhack and (nearly all) the people here.
That said, let me give you a few keywords you should avoid. The minute you see a thread with these words, look away. Don't even let your eyes rest on that page for one nanosecond, lest there be a photograph you should not see.
Poker, clack, brobot, HHKB, Topre, Realforce, GON, Kmac, Dolch, Ergodox, SSK, Model F, group buy, Deck, clears, aluminium, MKC.
Your wallet will thank you for not looking.

In fact, as much as I genuinely love this site and people whom I have gotten to know, I am thinking of deliberately changing my password to a set of random numbers that I don't record, then logging out, and never (and never being able to) come back again. I have spent way too much money and need to stay away!
Hello everyone, I am new here and joined because it seems like a great community for true PC gear enthusiasts. A couple of days ago, I picked up a Ducky DK9008 G2 Pro with PBT dye-subs keys and Cherry MX Brown switches. I wanted to share my experience with everyone! I have to be honest, at first, I hated this thing and immediately thought about returning it. The PBT keys felt very stiff and unforgiving and I did not like typing on it. I thought to myself that I would give it a chance though, try it for a couple of days and sleep on it. I am very glad I did, because it grew on me fast and now I love it
I also made the mistake of bottoming out on the Cherry Browns, when for these particular switches, it seems best to touch type, making use of the tactile bump. Once I began doing that and got used tot he PBT keys, this thing is heaven! It is very solid and of a high quality make, with full NKRO on USB (I don't know how the hell they accomplish that), WASD backlit keys and more. I think my money was well spent here, and I hope this thing can last for years.
I guess i can say as a recommendation to those who have never tried PBT's; if you do, give them a chance before making a snap judgement. This is the best keyboard I have ever owned, and after coming off of a Blackwidow with Cherry Blues, this thing is heaven. I also feel it was a worthwhile investment buying the dye-sub PBT board. I mean after all, why buy a mechanical keyboard capable of 50,000,000 key strokes if your ABS keys are going to wear out in 25,000? lol. That's like buying a car that promises a 500k mile engine, but the rest of the car breaks after 80k
