I've been thinking of starting to collect mechanical keyboard; at the moment I'm mainly interested in the older models in Finnish/Swedish layout (i. e. dumpster-diving locally). So, I thought that this was the place to join for info on the more obscure models. I currently own three Model M 1391411 versions (1992, 1988, and IIRC 1986 for the oldest, but its sticker came loose a few years ago, and is now archived so carefully that I can't find it).
While I find the Model M the best typing keyboard I have ever tested, my day-to-day keyboard is a Topre 88UB because of tight desk space and occasional gaming needs.
