WYSE keyboards & monitors - pick-up only - Doncaster, UK
« on: Wed, 27 November 2013, 13:39:20 »
edit: Finished, gone.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181266136653

Ending 28 Nov, 2013 13:17:56 GMT and likely to go for peanuts!

2x cute little WY-30
11x WY-60 ASCII

We're talking (possibly) vintage black cherries and doubleshot keycaps, most likely thick.

I thought about arranging someone to pick them up and dispose of the monitors, but it would've been too expensive (and a lot of hassle). Really would like one of those WY-30s though... anyone got a van?  :))

That's up to you - all I know is what's in the listing!

WY-30 don't seem to be very common, so no idea what they're worth. WY-60 might sell for £20 to 30, at a guess, but maybe they won't fly off the shelves at that price.

I will be making a converter for these, and they are nice, solidly built 'boards. Not NKRO though.

I've heard the keycaps have some value

Too far to walk!

One of my dumb terminal blew out so now I'm down to two left. Wouldn't mind picking up (another) spare, actually.

Oh well. Not made of infinite storage space any more than I have free money.

All the WY-60 and WY30 keyboards I've seen have thin doubleshots.
Also, they all have at least three different case logos for the cherry switches. Not sure what counts as "vintage" though.

Excellent keyboards though, and this is a heck of a deal. Thanks for posting.

I have a WY-60 ASCII here with thick doubleshots :D

I should edit and say 'possibly' on the 'vintage' aspect - TBH, I'm just parroting what others have said on that point.

Well, somebody made a bid - was it anyone here?

I was going to bid but I really haven't got any time over the next few weeks to pick them up  :(
Nice deal for someone

Gah, I was gonna grab that. Even worked out when I was going to pick up. Bloody missed the end of the auction/
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)
