« on: Fri, 29 November 2013, 22:04:43 »

There is MechanicalKeyboards, but it is out of stock:

Also with the PBT Caps if I put LEDs in will the light shine thru the lettters?

Any help is appretiated

qtan's good!

Also check his web site: http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/

He has a vendor forum here too: http://geekhack.org/index.php?board=81.0
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I was initially skeptical (as I normally am when it comes to online purchases) that qtan might not be reliable until I decided to suss out to see if he was shady after just looking at pure bad review ratings qtan had over the past few months.

It turns out that I was wrong and I ate my words twice/three times over. First those who gave qtan bad ratings more recently were either unable to read the fineprints and/or would probably never even bother to cut qtan some slack via asking through geekhack forums where qtan has his own subforum.

Then it turns out that when someone else the exact same question about buying stuff through qtan I was initially giving the wrong perceptions which I later corrected myself and apologised for dirtying qtan's name.

As of more recently I have begun hearing people ordering Poker II through qtan, one was a little impatient so I decided to point to that impatient person some fineprints about why it would take so long for the person's beloved item to arrive. The buyer said he read that fineprint already but insisted about his anxiousness in getting it. Another person have also ordered Poker II (this time with different colour scheme) and has received the item from qtan. The impatient person wondered again when his Poker II will arrive and when asked he said that it has landed which this other buyer pointed out that it should be in transit. Shortly afterwards the impatient person got his keyboard (on the very same day as he wondered again but it was only a matter of hour or so later before the delivery guy rang the doorbell I bet).

Point being is that qtan is reliable, I have already seen two happy customers and have made the wrong assumptions only to have them corrected. If you have any doubts, first make sure you read all the fineprints. If you have any doubts it has been pointed out already by rowdy that you can always enquire with qtan.

I got mine from mechanicalkeyboards.com a few months ago, but I guess they're out of stock now. I believe Feng may still have a few, though.
