It's definitely snappier and takes less time to boot.  I don't really care if it's smaller or not.  It was certainly worth the upgrade from XP (and Vista at home).  I haven't had a single issue since installing it last week.  It's been fantastic.

Oldest trick in the book... XP used to have an option to hide icons... not sure if it is around in Vista/W7

Very nice. Now let's see if we can guess what's right before Portal and after G something in sorting sequence that just happens to be blacked out in that screenshot...

I'm bumping this to say I've found a great practical joke.  So my wife is NOT happy with me that the icons moved around after I installed Win7 and my son,  well, he's a teenager so HE manages to piss me off sometimes.

So...
1.  Take a snapshot of the desktop
2.  Download a utility to save the desktop icon layout (not sure, maybe Win7 maybe has this finally!)
3.  Delete all the desktop icons
4.  Now use the snapshot of the original as WALLPAPER.
5.  Watch the fun as they click away.

Yes, you will go to hell for this.

I did that to myself by mistake on my phone after taking some screenshots. It is hilarious.

They're just people's names.  I'll display my name freely, but I won't of other people's.

Ahh, it's been a while, I just keep it clean and simple, easy to work with = good in my book (making things simpler or more complex for aesthetic purposes just slows me down, so why bother :P)

This has just been running debian testing for awhile (btw, quod libet is AWESOME, chrome too, and of course running zen is the only option :P)
