Hello from Denver, CO
« on: Fri, 06 December 2013, 21:13:43 »
Whatup!
First post on Geekhack. I stumbled upon this forum while looking for the perfect keyboard (is there any other way?), and here I've learned a lot, it's a great forum, so many people willing to help.
I jumped on the 3rd massdrop of the ergodox and I'm anxiously awaiting my stuff. Sometimes I wonder what I got myself into!
Anyways, I wanted to break the ice by posting my first message.

Hey, another Denverite!  Welcome!  A word of advice: buy your end game keyboard right away (in your case it might very well be the ergodox)... you'll save a lot of money in the long run.

That's the idea. I'm going to end up spending a lot of money on the ergodox, and I hope that's my last keyboard (at least for the next five or ten years!). At least, in paper, it does everything I want: programmable (as in "I can configure ANY layout), matrix layout, truly-split, cherry switches, tenkeyless... So, let's see!  :D

Welcome! I'm in the same boat as you in a couple ways.  I'm in the Denver area as well and am waiting on my Ergodox from MassDrop. I ordered the full hand case with blue switches.

try as you might to get your end game keyboard right away, you will realize it's a sickness, and one day you will wake up with more keyboards than you have fingers and toes
not that it's a bad thing, just sayin...
