Topres for a very reasonable price
« on: Wed, 18 December 2013, 07:38:42 »
Here are two Topres selling for significantly less than normal geekhack standards.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/121234992525?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Topre Realforce 104UG "High-Profile" Mechanical Keyboard

Currently no bid, $155 free shipping. Owner claims it was used as a spare, and I notice no shine on the spacebar.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Keyboard-Topre-Realforce-87u-Tenkeyless-White-All-45g-/121237352104?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item1c3a4f2ea8

150 no bids, 15 shipping TKL. 45g.
There might be shine on the spacebar. (The reflected light makes it hard for me to figure out.) Looks really nice all the same.

Good luck with your bids! I'm not a Topre guy, but if I were I would seriously consider buying.

You realize you already posted the high profile here

http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=52255.0

I thought about getting it but someone will probably snipe it.

yup I did, but then I saw another Topre so what the hell, make a new list with both of them inside. Besides I'd have to edit the earlier one and wind up with two Topre threads all the same.

I'm a compulsive shopper, but fortunately Topres cost too much so I'm just a compulsive window shopper for them.

Lol. Really? No one else is going to bid on the HiPro? It's only at 1 bid for $155 shipped... this thing usually doesn't sell for anything lower than $210-220ish.

But then again, probably might get sniped. Whoever has even a remote interest in Topre boards or the HiPro, get in on this, because you might just get yourself an amazing deal. I want to join in on this soooo bad but I have no use for it :( HOWEVER, I sooooooooo want to throw those keycaps on my 55g 87UB.... I might bid an extra dollar to just test the keycaps LOL........ or not. No money, and whatever money I have, must go to Penumbra :P

3 hours left, as of this post.

Hehehe, I know... just anxiety on seeing something so low, so late. Even when things get sniped, they usually are close to retail price by now...

Typically if a eBay seller says free shipping to USA, does that mean an international buyer should not bid?

It's so true, but I've never sold on ebay so I wouldn't know.

Yeah, but last time, it was $190 + $15 shipping, I believe. The way I see it, whoever bids on this and wins, will get a pretty good deal.

Doubt it. A bid that high, it was probably someone not from here. Of course, I'm assuming.

Can't understand why nobody bid when I posted this at $190 last week, and now bids hit $242. Someone could have won it at $190 last week.

I was never in the bidding process to begin with, since I just like window shopping. But yeah, there's another TKL Topre at $150 now 1 bid, and I'll be darned if it's the winning bid.

Didn't realize it was you who was the seller :) Congrats on the high sell! The buyer was probably someone who didn't see it last time.

HUH? I am not the seller. I am a window shopper aka somebody who browses classifieds, like Missalaire, and reports whatever he thinks is a good deal here for geekhackers to take advantage of.

IN any case isn't it against forum rules to post your own stuff under great finds?

Oh sorry. I misread when you said "when I posted this at $190 last week". I comprehended that as you posted the keyboard on ebay, rather than you posted the deal on the forums :P And I believe you're correct in that it's against the rules to post your own ebay sales on here. I got too carried away in trying to congratulate a fellow member of a good sale :)) oops~

Should be interesting to see how much this TKL goes for though.

now that I re-read what you said, yeah, I can see where the mistake came in.

I make too many vague comments for my own good. Too bad there's no face-palm smiley.

I have been permanently immortalized as a scammer on another thread that is now locked. I talked about both receiving and giving 'fake' tracking numbers (emphasis on the apostrophes).

I meant to say I sent something using one mail service or company, but told the buyer the wrong service, so tracking number was reported as invalid. Similarly, sellers have mixed up UPS for USPS and the other way round, thus giving me invalid tracking numbers.
