Filco Hi Profile Spherical keyset
« on: Sat, 21 December 2013, 00:28:49 »
Last week, I received the first GB order for 4 GH users. I did not expect such a good quality, the keycap is very thick with doubleshot. The sound is completely different from my default Das Keyboard. It's more dampening and has ver lower tone. I highly recommend this products to every Filco users.

TOO MANY KEYBOARDS THAT I COULD NOT COUNT! BUT I AM STILL USING MY MODEL F77

A good friend of mine delivered a set of these to me in Taipei just a couple hours ago.

These are my first doubleshots - all I can say is, WOW!  These caps are phat and tall - they are huge compared the standard keys.

This set oozes quality.  The brown is so dark that you have the stare a bit in the right lighting to see it.

I used to have a set of PBT Ninja keys on my Filco Majestouch TKL.  Those keys felt crisp, but these high profile sphericals have a satisfying thunk on strike.  The smoothness of the thick plastic keys make me feel like I'm typing on a typewriter rather than on a keyboard.

The only complaint I have is, the keys somehow feel crowded - I think it may have to do with the high profile.  Although I seem to type faster with them, my shoulders feel somewhat more stressed; it will probably take some getting used to.
