Silicon Graphics 9500900 Keyboard info
« on: Sat, 21 December 2013, 10:19:03 »
Morning folks,
Does anybody have any info on this keyboard (Silicon Graphics 9500900)? It's ps2 and I can't get a cap off so I have no idea what kind of switch it is (it does feel mechanical).48637-0

Very nice Alps keyboard. Beautiful case and dye-sub keycaps.

Thanks for the response and the link Jim :thumb: It's in decent shape (if a bit dirty) and the apostrophe key doesn't work. I'll probably try to sell it (although I'd be surprised if there was any demand for it).
Cheers!

If it were cleaned up and the space bar swapped out, I bet it would look almost new.

I'd say that this keyboard is more desirable than ye olde Dell AT101 that you would compare it to. That one has also Alps switches, the same layout and  similarly shaped case, but the Silicon Graphics (SGI) keyboard is more rare, was made by Silicon Graphics (demand by SGI collectors), has Cream Alps that are more liked and much nicer keycaps.

You could clean it up and retr0brite the Space Bar, then sell it for twice what the Dell AT101 or AT101W goes for.
