Heh.  That thing is pretty sweet.  I would get it too, but for a novelty item $199 is way too high.

Can it even be used as a hard drive?  If you have an old IBM mainframe around the house, maybe.  But I dunno how you would link it up via SATA or IDE.  Wait, what did we have in the '80's?  ATA and P-ATA?  lol.  I don't even think those would work.

It's been in a workshop for 15 years ( looks like it's filled with water too ), pretty sure the media is destroyed. I'd only get it if I had space on a wall for it.

My wife is an ebay expert.  So I asked her what you should do.  And my wife recommends letting the auction expire tomorrow, and then offering the guy $50 (or less), and see what he will take.  If he gets no bids, which is what will happen, he might sell it to you cheap.

I really wish I'd kept my Apple II. Junked it at the end of the 1980s. I bet if I took it apart now and listed each part for $100, there would be people who thought it was a great deal.

This is a good idea normally, but since it's been relisted (same price) the seller probably isnt looking to sell it quick and instead wants to get as much for it as possible, We'll e seeing this cluttering up our searches for the next 6 months I expect
