My Imperator's left click died in under 6 months, sent it back to Razer and recieved a refurbished one, 1 year later the left click occasionally double clicks when I single click. Awesome mouse aside from that. I don't know if the microswitch issues are related to Razer or if that is something different.

i've had mine for over a year, and other than it being a little dirty.. it has been flawless. i have the black edition though.

I'Ve had the same double clicking issues for a while with my older one(not have the 2013 edition), but apparently if you open it up and clean the switches that fixes it. Honestly I love the shape of it so much I'd be willing to deal with those issues even if you tell me no other brand has them.

No it doesn't? I'm pretty sure the DA is optical.

A mouse is a mouse, doesn't really matter imo if it's optical or laser (depending on the surface that you use it that is). I've had the 2012 DA version for more than a year and it's been splendid. The best mouse I've ever bought hands down. The size was a bit weird at first, but you get used to it and it's good.
