Ducky is going nuts on customisation.

Maybe a perfect match would be to replace those black key caps with yellow key caps from Ducky yellow range?  ;D

That's a lot of money for a keyboard without doubleshot backlit keycaps.

Nice, but I still prefer the yellow one :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Its probably a super low production run something like 10, and at 2 1/3 times more than a standard version its nothing special, unless its forged aluminum with 14k plating.

I think the next iteration Shine 4s will be interesting given Ducky has already exhausted much of the LED illumination modes anyone could want. Maybe doubleshot backlit keys? Topre? Who knows.

programmability + more layouts.

i really wish they would give up on backlit legends though; flipping the switch around makes translucent keycaps look way better.

Isn't it 339 SGD? Still ~$270 is a lot for a keyboard that offers nothing except for the pride of owning a limited edition case.

Why are you salty everywhere you go? Must be a great League of Legends player right?
I don't know many people here who care for Ducky's backlit keyboards considering it's always going to be ABS and the cases aren't going to be that high quality as compared to an aluminum Filco or Realforce case.

filco cases are $150+ + $140 for the board.

digilog case is $200 + $225+ for the board.

I think currently they're the only mainstream keyboard manufacturer using aluminum as the case.  Good one, means that the public gets to know what it look like and lowers the price on all other custom boards available.

No more demanding $600+ for a keyboard case only.....  oh wait on  ::) .

I wouldn't pay $339 because my wife would kill me, but MKB has it on for $239 and I have one on it's way!
Couldn't resist.  ;D
I got White backlit and cherry mx blues.

MKB's got 'em in stock with cherry mx black, brown, blue, red, or green switches.

Welcome to the Ducky Club!

Post it at the Post Your Duckies thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44203) when you do get it!

P.S. Time to get a matching gold BroBot! ;)

Thanks infinity, I'll do that, if I can figure out how to post a photo on GH.  Got any pointers?

Ha! If it had been a snake it would've bit me!   :D
Another question.....does GH automatically downsize an image to fit a certain size, or do we have to limit the file size before we upload?

So most of the time, I take photos using the iPhone. The photos are stored in Camera Roll.
Then I use Tapatalk as a forum client. Tapatalk allows me to upload photos to Tapatalk host and it auto generates a link to the reply.

I think that is much easier compare to transferring photos to the computer and then uploading from Chrome/IE/Firefox.

dropbox automatically saves your photos on android if you choose.

take picture, saved into android photo gallery, dropbox detects photo, dropbox syncs to dropbox folder on your comp, then upload like normal.  piece of cake :)

Is this metallic paint on a plastic case (like the "metallic" Filcos) or an actual metal case?
considering the YOTD is a CNC aluminum case...

it's a special anodized YOTD

That better be the case.

$339 SGD is a ridiculous price otherwise. A can of gold paint is only $3.90.

Yeah really. It may have started that high but MKB has them at $239 now.

is the OMG actually gold?  it looks like flat yellow.

Just got mine today, when you see it live rather than in a picture, it looks just like brushed aluminum only it's gold instead of silver.
It looks pretty good.
