I saw it this morning. It will go for an insane price.

Considering it is almost the Holy Grail for Cherry aficionados, ANSI layout, doubleshots, etc, with SSKs selling at $300+ it should go for half again that amount, because it is far more rare if nothing else.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Yeah, I can see this getting way too high in price.. That's why if I ever wanted to buy an original Cherry board I'd get it off taobao or the classifieds.

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.4.7A996E&id=15194352176

Of course doesn't have the full set of caps, but that can be salvaged off a G81 board :

Sure it's a less common combination... but it is not hard to find G80-1800HAU, and change the switch to clears yourself. You could even get a G81-1800H*U and one of the leeku PCB to build with clears and have USB with at least 6KRO, backlight and etc. for about the same or less depending on parts sourcing. The only time I would lay out this kind of money was if it had some more interesting harder to find keycap colorway, or rare to find language layout.

I think the taobao references are good leads to some low price stuff that may interest some at GH.

SAG is UK ISO. The only pictures I can find of it are these : http://www.ebay.de/itm/SEHR-SELTENE-MECHANISCHE-KEYBOARD-TASTATUR-CHERRY-G81-3000-SAG-MY-3000-UK-NEU-/271117123403?pt=DE_Computing_Tastaturen_Keypads&hash=item3f1fd6ff4b
I've asked a DT/GH member to take some pictures of his set, which he will hopefully do soon ;D

I like ISO just as much as ANSI. I only use ANSI because UK ISO Cherry dyesubs/doubleshots are so much rarer, and I don't really like using sets with DE, etc. legends.

SAA set, why not just do groupbuy with BSP? They made them in the first place. I can't remember if they split the MOQ for different legend, but if they do it wouldn't be impossible if run it along with US/RU, TS/US, US/HE, that kick ass EU Parliament set...
I suppose some people will prefer reruns to my repros with imsto, and then I don't have to do a ****ton of new legends :)) Besides only BSP does sideprinting on dyesub, so they would need to be used for such anyway.

Can you run it? :P

Also, what is their MOQ? I heard 400. But I don't think this would meet that :(

I will probably look into them again in the new year. I keep hoping they will finally get PBT spacebars and some other keys in their line up first... but that might mean waiting for the end of time. Right I think very slim chance for 400 MOQ or Arabic alone, but if they allow to split it with 4 or 5 legend options, no biggie.

I think the more realistic PBT spacebars would be from imsto. If he would just do 7x and add 1.5x mods to his line-up, it would be perfect.

It's so funny to see that people want to have something that they have actually no use, like the iso-cz set. There were 2 peacock 3004 sat (nib) sold for €60 to a Korean. Meanwhile, we have some Czech users who want to have those sets because they do speak the language. Is that korean going to learn Czech to bang Czech girls? Probably not. He'll just put the keyboard in the basement and collect dust.

PS http://m.ebay.de/itm?itemId=200909400947

The saa was up for sale for like half year or something before.

I think is not about language but about character sets. Languages that share most of the characters can use some of the standards like US international, which I use to write in English, Spanish and French with no issues at all.

I have several sets in other language... I can just enjoy them anyway since legends are just decoration as far as I am concerned. I also find all the different language layout interesting and wouldn't mind owning a set in each that has been made with Cherry.
Why not have something you find attractive/interesting looking. I suspect +90% of all the RU sets I have sold in groupbuy was for aesthetics attraction not because they are Russian speaker. I don't see a problem with this at all.
If native speaker see hard to find layout on vintage doubleshot/dyesub Cherry board, then either they need to prepare to pay high for it or go without it.

I found the standard ANSI key caps set with only the roman characters to be better looking that those with other foreign ones for aesthetic reasons. Even If I can use special characters for my needs, it would be only for practical reasons.

I think that is the same reasoning for blanks, any person able to touch type can type on any board with letters, so there is no an actual reason to have blanks but for aesthetics.

I don't mind center dot homing really... maybe can have include extra FJ with normal keycap as alternative? I have vintage dyesub and doubleshot set like that with no homing indicator and don't find a problem with that either. I will look into these ideas with BSP, probably will have to wait to start anything with them until February or March though.

Oh yeah.. If we actually manage to do a successful BSP GB I hope we have prt sc/sys rq and pause/break keys like the original sets, with the 'sys rq' and 'break' on the sides of the keycaps instead of on top like on originative sets.
