Mtek K104... isn't that Monterey Blues?

The Focus alone is worth $35, the possibility of Monterey Blues really sweetens the deal.

Yes those are going to be Monterey Blues on the Mtek and probably the clickly White Alps on the Focus....this is a really good deal but the Mtek is pretty yellow. Usually the Mtek goes for around $60 itself.

I couldn't resist, made an offer of $25 and the seller accepted it!

Received the boards today, I'm a little disappointed. the MTek has white ALPS, and the FK2001 has dampened cream ALPS. All in all, not a bad deal for $40.

Also, the seller shipped them in a cut-to-fit cardboard box with no padding at all

I have had a few Focus 2001s and they were all white Alps.

Many people would consider the dampened creams to be more desirable.

Are the keycaps good?

“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48

All the FK2001s I've owned up until now have also been white Alps. The dampened cream ones feel surprisingly nice.

The keycaps are double shot, as is the case with all FK2001s as far as I know. They're fairly yellowed, but I have a better set from a partially dead FK2001 that I can transplant.
