I've been using membrane keyboards for a long time. My favorite keyboard for a while was the Dell RT7D50. I had been looking at some mechanical keyboards over the last couple of months, but I was pretty overwhelmed by all the variety out there
)
After putting a few keyboards on my Amazon wishlist this winter, I got surprised by a Leopold FC200RT/AB (tenkeyless, brown switches) this Christmas. I like the TKL layout because I don't really find myself using the tenkey that often, and it's nice to have a keyboard that feels easy to get around on. I still have a rubber dome board at work, and I find myself missing the MX switches. I'd take a picture of my board but I'm afraid it would seem too vanilla without any custom keys.
I joined the forums because a few of the group buys look pretty enticing. Still waiting before I jump on anything, though.
