The second thread has a couple of links to a Chinese forum post with very detailed analysis and comparison of the switches.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

The first link stated that there was reliability issues and even the controller crapping out within weeks/months. Is that still the case?

Yes, i'm Chinese and i read the comments inside China from users in China.

It does not have much high performance feedbacks, except the pricing.
But it is said they're updating to higher version and may release sometime.

What i really wonder is how the market respond to china made switches. Not just rapoo v7. Maybe some others more in the future.
Will people be willing to pay to test all these chinese swicthes kb.?

Anyway,thanks for the links.
Always get sth new here....   :)) :))
