Poker II Mod - PCB Mount?

Hey all, I'm doing my first real mod (new switches, LEDs, etc.) and I'm interested in doing a PCB-mounted board using a Poker II PCB. Will it work without the plate? Is there any reason why I shouldn't do that? I'm finding that I like the feel of PCB mounted switches for lighter switches - gives them a softer, more pleasurable feel. Thanks!

I don't think there will be any problem. I hardly can tell the differences

I honestly didn't expect there to be a difference, but I just received a board with PCB-mounted reds, and it feels way different from my Poker 2 w/ reds. The Poker is very "pingy" and hard when you bottom out, while the new board has a very satisfying and softer bottoming out feel.

It's similar to the softness of the bottoming out on my HHKB, so I assumed the difference is in the plate vs PCB mount.

The PCB has the holes for the PCB mount pins, so using PCB mount switches is not an issue. However I don't see any holes for PCB mount stabilisers - which you will need.
